Post Restante is a series of envelopes that I mailed from around the world back to my home base. I typed a message or a famous quote onto each envelope and then covered it in a paper address wrapper which I removed after the letter made its way back to Canada.
Thus far, these are the 12 envelopes that reached their destination out of the 20 that I mailed from Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, China, Cuba, Australia, USA, England, Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Germany, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and North Korea.
Not surprisingly, the envelope I had sent (via a friend) from North Korea did not make it back to me. I guess Kim Jong-Il isn’t a big fan of conceptual art.
